I can’t believe I actually didn’t blog this session…
What a thoughtful idea for aunty and uncle to organise a photographer for their newborn niece while grandparents are visiting. This session was so full of laughter and giggles – little Chloe is a very happy little lady to be born into such loving and funny family.

Being a Melbourne family photographer, family photos are always special to me, but it is even more special when a family travels from overseas! Taking the time to fine Melbourne family photographer and allocating special time to capture memories with your family – what can be better?! I love travelling myself, the whole idea of airplanes, airports, hotels makes me happy and so I always get extra excited for the family that would love to have their family photos taken during their stay in Melbourne.
If you plan to travel and would love to have your family photos taken, make sure to plan ahead and do a good research. Most photographers book well in advance so it’s always a good idea to contact the photographer early so that you can have enough options to schedule your session and plan the rest of your trip.
Melbourne holds a special place in the hearts of Yvonne and Bryan, they had their wedding photos taken here too. So it was important to make this session just as special as their wedding photos as this time they came back as a family of four.
We met at Fitzroy Gardens to take advantage of the autumn colours and the kids had a blast playing in the fall leaves.

I posted a sneak peek and another preview from this extended family session the other day. And finally I get to blog about it.
As a Melbourne Family Photographer, family sessions are some of my favourites. I love exploring and capturing connections between family members and always find the time to capture individual portraits to showcase the loving relationships between different family members.
It was a special get together for Lyle’s very special birthday. Both of Lyle’s daughters came down to Melbourne with their families for the weekend. What is a better way to celebrate your life than with a special family photo shoot?!
Although the weather didn’t cooperate, I have to give it out to the family for being so enthusiastic to work with me to create these special images. As typical with the Melbourne weather, it must have changed 3 times just prior to our session although nearly all week before that it was unusually cold and rainy. So inevitably, we ended up photographing the family in their family home.
I am quite flexible when working with my clients and try to adapt to circumstances and such was this case – in fact, family home makes for a stunning backdrop for such extended family portraits. It probably holds special memories for your family so it would most definitely make a great story in the photographs. It sometimes comes with a challenge for natural light when you have large groups especially on rainy and cloudy days like the day of our session. But I think we made it work beautifully and I can’t be more excited to share these with you.
