Rach + Andrew’s Couples Session

Rach + Andrew’s Couples Session

Rach contacted me back in May to organise a session just in time for Andrew’s return. You see, Andrew is from Canada so there was some time apart before his return which made this session so much more meaningful.

When Rach opened the door, I was a little shocked to be honest. First of all, not many people can pull off purple hair. And secondly, purple can be tricky to photograph. But Rach totally rocks it and I love how we were able to capture those special moments of theirs together.

If you are still debating whether your relationship needs to be celebrated then have a closer look at Rach + Andrew’s memories and get in touch with me to book your session.

Love at first sight OR Why it is best to schedule your newborn session in the first two weeks after birth

Love at first sight OR Why it is best to schedule your newborn session in the first two weeks after birth

Melbourne Newborn Photographer

When it comes to newborns, general recommendations are to schedule a newborn session in the first couple of weeks after birth and there could be various reasons for that.

First of all, this is the time when you are still in awe and are filled with genuine raw emotions about the new life you and your partner created. If you have other children, depending on their age, first week is likely the best to photograph them with their new sibling when the air is filled with curiosity and there is yet no place for jealousy.

Secondly, your baby is extra sleepy and still holds a natural curve (most of the time) which makes for adorable photos, allows both parents to feel a bit more relaxed and present in the moment rather than worrying about the crying baby.

Last but not least is probably the most obvious – newborn triple their birth weight by the age of 1 and learn so many new things – it is only natural to want to document them as soon as they enter this world, with their accidental smiles, involuntary limb movements and sweet grimaces.

While this is always preferable, I love photographing babies at any age. There is so much going on in that first year that there is always something special to document, be your baby 1 week, 1 month or 1 year old.

This photo is from a session with gorgeous Ellie and Albert who was only 7 days old during our session. I just love that curiosity filled shot with Ellie on the right – I am sure all of you new mums did that, but how many of you have it documented? Get in touch with me today to discuss your photography needs and let me document your story!

Being a Melbourne family photographer, family photos are always special to me, but it is even more special when a family travels from overseas! Taking the time to fine Melbourne family photographer and allocating special time to capture memories with your family – what can be better?! I love travelling myself, the whole idea of airplanes, airports, hotels makes me happy and so I always get extra excited for the family that would love to have their family photos taken during their stay in Melbourne.

If you plan to travel and would love to have your family photos taken, make sure to plan ahead and do a good research. Most photographers book well in advance so it’s always a good idea to contact the photographer early so that you can have enough options to schedule your session and plan the rest of your trip.

Melbourne holds a special place in the hearts of Yvonne and Bryan, they had their wedding photos taken here too. So it was important to make this session just as special as their wedding photos as this time they came back as a family of four.

We met at Fitzroy Gardens to take advantage of the autumn colours and the kids had a blast playing in the fall leaves.

Yvonne and Bryan, thank you for trusting me to photograph your beautiful family!

Until next time
