We like exploring new parks and playgrounds with the kids. They are old enough to get bored doing the same things, but this keeps our outside play more exciting and leaves them with a sense of wander and discovery. I didn’t post these photos straight away and looking back at the images I am so glad I captured that day on camera. My daughter enjoying the swings, my son playing a new imaginary game, fun with dad – the little moments in between the daily life and routine that we tend to forget to treasure. It’s a bit of cliché but they really grow too fast that the whole realisation of how fluid the time is happens suddenly and almost when it is too late. But having these memories captured allows us to relive these moments, ordinary to some but very special to the family, over and over again…
In the words of my son: “The game is called “city money”. You need to get your player and go on one space and then you go through the building and then you make it to the next level and then you get the robot and you get the money and then you win.”
Love his imagination and how involved he is with his park play… And that I have is documented. Let’s document your daily treasures too!

A bit sad, but also quite relieved that this month is over… While it’s really nice to document our life daily and reflect on it later, it also comes with a little bit of pressure of having to carry the camera with me every day which is not something I normally do…

Sisters | Toronto Portrait Session | Melbourne Children Photographer
It’s hard to believe it’s been so many years (I won’t tell you how many exact), but I started back when the twin girls were only 9 months old. They are as beautiful as ever and this session was very special to me as I got to capture them again, this time so grown and yet still innocent, during my visit to Toronto, Canada.
If you are still doubting whether it is worthwhile having your children professionally photographed, do not think twice. Nothing is constant and time flies so quickly that in a blink of an eye you have teenagers on your hands. Don’t delay booking a professional children photographer to capture your family’s special moments – you will thank yourself (and me) years down the road!
