I am thrilled to share this video with you, not only because this has been a labour of love, but also because it was put together with the help of my very talented family.
Ever since I took the Business of Photography workshop (thanks Rob Davidson) I remembered one very important thing – any time you can barter your services do it. For me, however, this was not about saving the money, but simply having a creative input of those closest to me. You see, my sister has been working with videos ever since her uni days, same with her partner Michael who is also a music producer touring North America with various bands, and finally my multi-talented husband produced this very special track for my promo video. I couldn’t have asked for a better collaboration (Thanks guys, love you loads!) and I am so proud of what you are about to see, even though my voice does sound a little funny to me (but I think we all have that about our own recorded voices).
Rach contacted me back in May to organise a session just in time for Andrew’s return. You see, Andrew is from Canada so there was some time apart before his return which made this session so much more meaningful.
When Rach opened the door, I was a little shocked to be honest. First of all, not many people can pull off purple hair. And secondly, purple can be tricky to photograph. But Rach totally rocks it and I love how we were able to capture those special moments of theirs together.
